Socialite Kylie Jenner and her boyfriend, A-list actor Timothee Chalamet, have been attending some of the New York Knicks’ playoff games during their current run, including Wednesday night’s victory over the Philadelphia 76ers to take a 2-0 series lead.

However, Jenner has still been dealing with things behind the scenes. An old quote of Jenner discussing the toll that being such a public figure took on her is making the rounds on social media.

It’s a miracle that I still have confidence and can still look myself in the mirror and think that I am pretty,” she said to her sister Kendall on a 2024 episode of her show The Kardashians. “I went on a journey last year dissolving half my lip filler. Why do people think it is OK to talk about me? I have never cried about this before, but I guess it does affect me…. I hear these nasty things about myself all the time. After 10+ years of hearing about it, it just gets exhausting.”

However, fans online aren’t too thrilled about the quote.

“Her entire job is flooding out feed of course she’s gonna be a topic for discussion. Also her entire career is built on flooding surgically altering her appearance to be more attractive. What is she whining about?” one fan posted on Twitter.

“Also, girl you have enough money to never be photographed again! You could literally have any life you choose so STFU,” someone else added.

“I don’t doubt that her mother and sisters did a number on her self-esteem, but she’s a grown woman who chooses to exhibit herself publicly. She puts herself into that arena of her own volition,” another person added.

As much money as they may have, it’s imperative to remember that celebrities are real people as well.
