Legendary rapper Ty Dolla $ign suffered a major scare in late November. The rapper, whose real name is Tyrone William Griffin Jr., shared a video this week of his skateboard accident that sent him to the hospital last month.

“Ty Dolla $ign shows the footage of his recent skateboarding incident that landed him in the hospital,” No Jumper tweeted. The ensuing video shows the rapper falling off his skateboard and bashing the back of head on the concrete of the skate ramp.
“Just watching this sh– gave me a headache again [face palm emoji, skull emoji,” Ty Dolla $ign wrote in the Instagram post. “Happy holidays everyone and keep pushing your friends to the next level. Never give up. I’ll be back at the park once the doctor says I’m good and I’ll where [sic] a helmet next time I promise. I know I know even Tony where’s [sic] a helmet.”
The rapper originally shared information about the accident hours after it happened on Nov. 26th. He posted a video showing him in a hospital bed, complete with wires running to his chest.
Ty Dolla $ign originally gained fame in 2010 with a feature on YG’s single “Toot It And Boot It.” He signed with Wiz Khalifa and Taylor Gang Records in 2014. He is currently 40 years old.
