Nate Silver hopped on Twitter Tuesday night to pass on some gender-based election forecasts. The results were fairly interesting (spoiler: women are preventing men from destroying the country), and became a popular source of discussion on Twitter. Naturally, a few users repurposed Silver’s factoid for less informative means.

Before long, a meme was born.

It didn’t take long for the meme to fully enter the mainstream, and #SportsTwitter was ready to answer the call.

Of course, Sports Twitter’s take on this meme would not be complete without reminding everyone that the 73-win Warriors blew a 3-1 in the NBA Finals with the first unanimous MVP in league history.

We even got a crying Jordan crossover.

It’s rare for a meme take off so quickly like this. But it is rarer still for that meme to fly so close to the sun without getting burnt.

RIP, electoral map meme. Oct. 11, 2016 — Oct. 12, 2016.
