Global pop sensation Taylor Swift is set to be married to Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce this summer, in what will almost certainly be the most high-profile wedding in recent memory.

Per reports, the celebrity couple is slated to tie the knot at New York’s famous Madison Square Garden. Unfortunately, safety concerns just may end up derailing those plans. At the nearby Penn Station, a violent assailant slashed five people with a knife on Sunday night inside the Amtrak terminal, according to TMZ.

The pair is set to wed on July 3, which raises serious safety concerns for the wedding.

People reacted to the horrific news before the wedding.

“Dumb Place to get married if you ask me,” one fan posted on Twitter, “If I had her money, I’d have a Lavish, Swanky Wedding on a Greek Isle somewhere. Not at stinky MSG. Girl…what are you thinking?”

“Terrible news about Penn Station. It really puts things into perspective when a horrifying situation happens so close to a place generating entirely different headlines. Thoughts are with the victims and everyone caught up in that chaos,” another person added.

“Tragic incident near the venue. Hoping for swift recovery for the victims and tight security for Taylor & Travis’s big day,” someone else wrote.

It’ll be interesting to see if this forces increased security for the wedding.
