The wait is over, as Netflix has released a trailer for Marvel’s Daredevil, announcing March 18 as the launch date for season two, a week ahead of what was originally anticipated.

It’s perhaps for the better that the season was moved ahead, as Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is supposed to have its theatrical release on March 25.

But enough talk of springtime, this trailer is pretty awesome:

Netflix released the following synopsis for the new season:

Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame –Elektra Natchios.

Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.

The trailer doesn’t give you too much info, but it gives you a release date, which is essentially all anybody needs. Netflix continues to tease different directions that the series could be going in. Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson and Rosario Dawson are all expected to return for the second season.

Perhaps the most anticipated one would be the introduction of the Punisher. Jon Bernthal, who also had a role in The Walking Dead is expected to handle that role. Élodie Yung as Elektra and Stephen Rider as Blake Tower are also expected to join Bernthal.

These latest release are only going to keep fans of the series wanting more, and the debut come March should be great for fans, and for Netflix as well, who has done a pretty good job in producing series on its own. Until then, print this out and tape it on your wall.
