Has Steven Yeun’s time as a cast member on The Walking Dead come to an end? Well… the status of many characters was in question following the cliffhanger of who Negan killed in the season six finale. If you haven’t watched the season seven premiere, you don’t yet know who caught the bad business end of Negan’s barbed-wire baseball bat.

Oh, and don’t read our reaction to last Sunday’s episode.

SPOILER ALERT out of the way? OK, let’s move forward. (Even though you probably already know who didn’t make it through the season seven premiere.)

Yeun’s character, Glenn, met a grisly end (much like he did in the Walking Dead comic books). With him killed off the show, Yuen is suddenly available and looking for work. Fortunately for him, late-night TBS talk show host Conan O’Brien had an opportunity awaiting for a talented actor.

How about hiring Yeun as his stand-in for rehearsal? After all, what does O’Brien need with rehearsal in the first place? He’s been around the block for over 20 years on the late-night talk show circuit. Yeun had a bit of a problem getting his natural hair to that Conan height, but donned a red wig and and gave it a try. Here are the results:

Yeun also had a bit of fun with the fact that the character he is most famous for playing is now dead. He joked that he felt dead in real life now too, before admitting that filming his infamous death scene was pretty grueling, since everyone else in the scene was crying.

We’re guessing Yeun has a very long career ahead of him after his performance as Glenn. He also showcased some good comedy chops and deadpan delivery on Conan, so don’t feel too bad for Yeun. Maybe a sitcom is in his future, which could be a welcome change after seven years of living in a zombie apocalypse. We’re sure he’ll be just fine.
