Minor league hockey uniforms on special nights can be almost as good if not better than those we often see in minor league baseball.
The ECHL’s Toledo Walleye once again prove this, as for “Rocky Tribute Night”, they’re going to be wearing these beauties:

Not only are the Walleye atop the ECHL standings with 49 points, they’re also atop the standings of “great uniforms for silly giveaway nights”. Of course, these crazy uniforms are always unveiled for a purpose, and after the Walleye take on the Brampton Beast in them, the sweaters will be auctioned off, along with the pants, with proceeds benefiting Heroes in Action, the International Boxing Club of Toledo, and the Walleye Wishing Well.
All he wants to do is go the distance.

Even though these gimmicks and theme nights can often seem repetitive, dumb, and sometimes overtly silly, there’s always a good motive behind them and we almost always get amazing uniforms in the process, like we have here.
Seriously, these sweaters are really dang cool.
