The last time Tom Hanks hosted SNL, it was 2006 and he was promoting The Da Vinci Code. Ten years later, he’s back with Lady Gaga as the musical guest, although he’s popped by the show multiple times in that ten year period, though not as host.

Hanks will be promoting his new film Inferno, which will be released a week after his hosting.

Hanks will get to host the show that will air after the third and final Presidential Debate so you can bet that Alec Baldwin will be back to reprise his Donald Trump impersonation. This will be the eighth time Hanks, a member of the five-timers club, has hosted SNL.
