Saget appeared in many movies and television shows, and was best-known for playing TV dad Danny Tanner on the sitcom Full House. He’s also had a huge following for his stand-up comedy, which he’d been on tour for. He tweeted the following early on Sunday morning:
Loved tonight’s show @PV_ConcertHall in Jacksonville. Appreciative audience. Thanks again to @RealTimWilkins for opening. I had no idea I did a 2 hr set tonight. I’m happily addicted again to this shit. Check https://t.co/nqJyTiiezU for my dates in 2022. pic.twitter.com/pEgFuXxLd3

This is a huge loss, and there’s been a ton of reaction on social media to the devastating news.
I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby.

Still in shock. I just spoke with Bob a few days ago. We stayed on the phone as usual making each other laugh. RIP to friend, comedian & fellow Aristocrat Bob Saget. pic.twitter.com/TDKT8JoULq

I know that people lose loved ones, good people, every day. No one gets a pass. But the loss of Bob Saget hits deep. If you didn’t know him, he was kind and dear and cared about people deeply. He was the definition of “a good egg”. Too soon he leaves. #RipBobSaget

When I was just starting out as a reporter, I was at my 1st premiere & Bob Saget & John Stamos were there. I had to go talk to them, having watched them my entire childhood. Bob went out of his way to ask me questions, to learn about me. The world lost a light today. #RipBobSaget pic.twitter.com/3VhQTOwUfM

If you're my age, your weekends as a kid started with Bob Saget on "Full House" and ended with Bob on "America's Funniest Home Videos."

You kids will never understand how Bob Saget used to basically host YouTube on tv, and we had to wait for one half hour on a Sunday night to all watch it together.
