We hadn’t heard much from Taylor Swift recently, other than an awkward congratulatory message to NBA MVP Russell Westbrook and a symbolic lawsuit victory. After a three-year break, Swift finally released her first single in three years, “Look What You Made Me Do.”
“Look What You Made Me Do” is yet another revenge song where Swift metaphorically kills “the old Taylor.” over a beat from Right Said Fred’s “I’m Too Sexy.” As far as big comebacks go, this one isn’t so good, and Twitter is letting her know.

Taylor Swift's new single is as disappointing as Katy Perry's last new single, so that rivalry continues apace.

I can't believe Taylor swift decided to sing an angry 16 year old's terrible poem and call it her new single #lookwhatyoumademedo

It’ll be interesting to see where “New Taylor” turns next.
