Season 4 of the Breaking Bad excellent spin-off series Better Call Saul premieres Aug. 6 on AMC. The Season 4 official trailer was released at Comic-Con on Thursday night.
But the Breaking Bad cast was also on hand at Comic-Con; it’s the 10th anniversary of what many people view the the best drama in TV history.

And Vince Gilligan — creator and executive producer of both shows — said that he thinks there’s an “excellent chance” Walter White (played by Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (played by Aaron Paul) appear on Better Call Saul at some point.
Via the AP:
“Breaking Bad” creator Vince Gilligan said Thursday at Comic-Con that there is an excellent chance that the Bryan Cranston character and Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman will be in the show’s spinoff “Better Call Saul” at some point.
“We don’t want to jerk folks around,” Gilligan said. “But we would be sorely remiss if these characters didn’t appear in the show before it ended.”
And the Breaking Bad Twitter account quoted Gilligan as saying “any or all” Breaking Bad characters could eventually be on Better Call Saul.

So, that opens up plenty of possibilities. Of course, many Breaking Bad characters are already in Better Call Saul and it sure appears from the Season 4 trailer that they’re going to see more screen time going forward.
The news of Gilligan wanting Cranston and Paul to be in the show isn’t a new thing. Just a few weeks ago, Gilligan said that he “desperately wants” Cranston and Paul on Better Call Saul, and it sure seems they’re making progress.
Gilligan did say that Cranston and Paul wouldn’t be in Season 4, so we’ll have to wait until at least Season 5.
Makes no sense. Jesse WOULD make sense, but it was established that he never went to Saul before. When suggesting to Walter that they use him to help Badger, he says that that is who he WOULD go to. And obviously Walter White would have never used him before. And it was pretty well established that he would have never encountered him before. Nor have either encounter Mike before they did. So other than a stupid 2 second background cameo, there is no reason for it to happen. Unless it is a flashforward to Saul’s new life. And again, then Walter White wouldn’t be there.
