Conan O’Brien had actor Elijah Wood join him for the latest edition of “Clueless Gamer” on Monday night, and the two gentlemen gave the RPG video game “Final Fantasy XV” a try. And it’s safe to say that Conan wasn’t a fan of the game.

Here’s video, and I’ll follow with some of Conan’s lines from the hilarious segment:

  • “You know what this is? This is like Middle Earth Entourage.”
  • “Is this really happening? Are we literally pushing a car through a desert? Why is this a game?!”
  • “We’re stuck in a Beckett play. There’s nothing that’s going to happen; we’re waiting for things that can’t happen.”
  • “This game should be called ‘Wait for your death in real time’.”
  • “We just decided to move forward (later into the game), because that part of the game was killing us.”
  • “Who came up with this?!”
  • “I’ve never been this confused by anything in my life, and that is really saying something.”
  • “WHY WOULD SOMEONE PLAY THIS?! WHY WOULD SOMEONE PLAY THIS GAME?!”

  • “The last time I beat on a worm for 72 hours, I was in college.”
  • “This is the longest we’ve played a game, and I don’t know what we’ve achieved. I don’t know what we were trying to achieve. I have no sense of satisfaction.”
  • “This sums up this game perfectly. A guy and a girl sitting on a bed in a motel, chatting. Nothing happening. This whole thing, it’s like an epic blue balls waste of time.”

On and on like that. And then to the game designers at the end! Quite honest, ruthless, and hilarious stuff from Conan.

If you want to see more Clueless Gamer, we covered Conan playing “UFC 2” with Conor McGregor, and Conan playing with “Overwatch” with Peter Dinklage and Lena Headey.
