A sci-fi blockbuster starring Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt? No wonder that Passengers is one of the most anticipated movies of the year.

But other than two of the culture’s biggest movie stars in outer space, in a film directed by Academy Award nominee Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game) with a script by Jon Spaihts (Prometheus), not a whole lot had been revealed about Passengers. That especially applies to promotional content, such as posters and trailers.

However, with a Christmas holiday release date (Dec. 21, to be exact) and theaters about to fill up with award-bait films, it’s time for the marketing machine to get into motion. So finally, we have the long-awaited trailer for Passengers. Take a look.

As the trailer indicated, the story takes place on a spaceship filled with thousands of people kept in suspended animation and being transported to a distant colony. The journey is supposed to take 120 years, but for some unknown reason, two of the passengers are revived before everyone else, 90 years too soon.

How bad could it be when those two people look like Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence, and they have an entire giant spaceship filled with all sorts of amenities and robot servants to themselves?

Well, there’s probably more to it than that — such as other stuff on the ship malfunctioning, along with Andy Garcia and Laurence Fishburne showing up — so there can be a two-hour movie. Why were these two extremely appealing people with palpable on-screen chemistry revived before everyone else, while every function on the ship appears to be breaking down?

Passengers will be in theaters on Dec. 21.
