Taylor Swift has been in the news quite a bit of late.

Between her record-breaking Eras World Tour, the announcement of another upcoming re-recorded album, and her budding friendship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, Swift has taken over the pop culture world.

CBS Sports’ Will Brinson joined Jessica Kleinschmidt on the Short and to the Point podcast to discuss a range of topics, including Brinson’s status as a “Swiftie” a superfan of Swift.

When asked how he would define the term, Brinson said, “If you voluntarily listen to Taylor Swift’s music and you would willingly go to a concert, if you were able to procure tickets, then I think you qualify as a Swiftie.”

Brinson went on to explain how it surprises people that he’s a fan of Swift’s. “We were doing a hit on CBS video and there were three of us, a girl, another guy, and me and they asked the other two if they were Swifies and they said no and then they’re like ‘Well, alright, let’s talk football’ and I’m like ‘whoa, whoa, how dare you not even ask me if I’m a Swiftie!”

Brinson concluded the discussion by confirming he thinks about Taylor Swift “way more” than he thinks about the Roman Empire, a reference to a recent Tik Tok trend that claims men think about the Roman Empire at least once a week.
