The Rock and Chris Jericho have had their battles in the ring over the years, but Y2J has a good hunch his longtime ring foe could be seriously contemplating a potential run at the White House.

Appearing as a guest on The Rich Eisen Show, Jericho says he has “no doubt” The Rock is going to run for president against Donald Trump in 2020.

“I have no doubt that is going to happen. Honestly, I do,” Jericho said when briefly interrupted by Eisen in the middle of another response. And Jericho made some interesting points about why it would make sense for Dwayne Johnson to give it serious thought.

“Not to get political, but I think we’re in the era now of celebrity Presidents. I think our current President got in because he knew how to work a camera,” Jericho said. “I think Rock knows how to work a camera better than Trump does, and has much more charisma, and [is] much more likable.”

There is no disputing that last thought. Trump may enjoy seeing his face on TV, but Johnson knows how to connect through the TV. And, if one thing has been learned with Trump being president, experience means nothing.

“Because you don’t even need experience to be a President anymore,” Jericho explained. “All you need to do is just have the celebrity value. So I honestly think The Rock will run for President. I really do.”

Yeah, this appears to be a story that simply will not go away.

Poll numbers have previously suggested Johnson would be a more favorable candidate than Trump. And Johnson didn’t exactly give the idea the Rock bottom during an interview with Jimmy Fallon.

I have no idea how good a President Johnson would actually make, but I do feel confident in saying he would have the most bad ass tattoo any president has ever had. He’d be the sexiest too.

But let’s just go back to the first time The Rock met Jericho…
