The WWE has been busy managing its roster lately. Just days after releasing a handful of superstars, Vince McMahon teased the return of some notable superstars coming soon.
During the WWE’s first quarter earnings conference call on Tuesday, McMahon said four main stars on the roster will be back in the ring within the next month. Randy Orton, John Cena, Bray Wyatt and Seth Rollins will be back in the mix after coming back from injuries. McMahon said 17 stars are currently battling some injuries, some more significant than others, of course.

In January, Cena said he was going through shoulder surgery by Dr. James Andrews to address a reported rotator cuff tear. It was expected he would miss WrestleMania 32 as a result. Rollins, who has been out since November, has been bouncing back from a town ACL and MCL suffered during an event in Dublin. Orton was expected to be back by now but has yet to appear at a WWE event. Wyatt was injured last month as well. Both Wyatt and Orton should be back once they prove able enough to go through the rigors of the show.
The WWE is in some need of stars like these to come back and provide a spark to the product. As noted in this week’s Raw recap, stars like the Undertaker and Kane and Big Show are up there in years. The WWE is bringing in some new players to lead the way, but stars like Cena and Rollins and Orton can help provide the WWE with some serious star power without having to resort to bringing back former legends or dragging out Triple H for a lead role (although Triple H just signed a three-year performance contract extension).
