You might recall that Mike Milbury recently unleashed a verbal assault on Alex Ovechkin, telling him to act like a man and start trying harder out on the ice. Milbury's assault might have had a few elements of truth, but overall it was yet another unnecessary attack on Ovechkin by the NBC analyst.
It took some time, but Ovechkin finally responded to the criticisms. His response was well worth the wait.
According to Slava Malamud, a Russians sports reporter, Ovechkin had a rather sharp, and accurate rebuttal.
Ovechkin on Milbury: "I can also voice my opinions about his work as a GM"

Boom!
Ovechkin could have also mentioned Milbury's failed attempt at coaching, but his shot at Milbury's dismal effort as an NHL GM works pretty well. It's nice to see a player stand up for himself against relentless attacks from an analyst, but it'd be even better if Ovechkin could find his old form and really silence Milbury.
