As far as internet memes go, “Harambe” the dead ape from the Cincinnati Zoo has some legs. The poor animal was shot back in May, but the internet has refused to let it go. It has even gone as far as the Cincinnati Zoo deleting their presence from all of social media.
Calgary Flames draft pick Matthew Tkachuk is apparently on the bandwagon of people wanting Harambe’s name to live on.
I can’t believe the London Knights even allowed the shirt. For me the joke ended a long, long time ago. Now people are harassing others and being rude in the process. Tkachuk isn’t done with it though as many continue to buy Harambe apparel.
