IndyCar racing has seen some scary times as of late, and during Monday’s ABC Supply 500 race at Pocono Raceway, one of the most popular drivers saw his life flash in front of his face during what should’ve been a routine round of pit stops.
As Helio Castroneves pulled out of his pit box, he was greeted by Charlie Kimball and Alexander Rossi getting together and Rossi’s car landing directly on the car of Castroneves – and his head, as well

Somehow, Castroneves escaped with his head intact and no issues at all to his health as a result of having some other dude’s car land directly on him.
It’s a win for the safety of drivers in a sport that has had more than its share of bad issues in that area over the past few years.
