Over the past few years, Bubba Wallace has become a controversial figure on the NASCAR circuit. Love him or hate him, Wallace has created a lot of buzz for his sport and some of it isn’t good.
Wallace got suspended last year for an incident involving Kyle Larson and recently, he got reprimanded by his 23XI boss Denny Hamlin for shooting the bird on camera during an interview.
Some fans love Wallace’s rebellious ways but a lot of people are turned off by it including NASCAR legend Kenny Wallace (no relation) who is not of fan of his antics.
“It’s not making you look good, it’s making you look worse. If you want to hold your ground, hold your ground like a man, but don’t MF everybody and flip everybody off. I don’t like that look for you Bubba,” Kenny Wallace said.
Kenny Wallace is not alone in his criticism of the younger Wallace saying that among other drivers, he is garnering a bad reputation.
One person who seems to be on Wallace’s side a lot is Dale Earnhadt Jr. who recently said on his podcast that Wallace puts up with more than anyone.
So maybe the way he is treated at times is the reason why Wallace acts out.
