Kevin Harvick is one of the best NASCAR drivers over the past 20 years, and while he’s still winning races and competing for championships, the 47-year-old is heading toward the end of his NASCAR racing career.
There has been speculation throughout the offseason that Harvick would retire after the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season. With his son Keelan getting into racing, buying into the CARS Tour with Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Burton, and Justin Marks, as well as a potential broadcasting gig at Fox, Harvick is properly setting himself up for his post-retirement future. That retirement announcement might be coming sooner rather than later, and the leak may have accidentally come from Harvick’s management company.
In a now-deleted Instagram post from Harvick’s KHI Management company, a video showed Harvick sitting with fellow Stewart-Haas Racing driver Ryan Preece as they were in their firesuits for the upcoming season. Some eagle-eyed Instagram and Reddit users noticed a patch on Harvick’s firesuit that said “4EVER.” right above the Hunt Brothers Pizza patch.
It looks like NASCAR Legend and Stewart-Haas Racing’s Kevin Harvick will be announcing his retirement soon, as he was spotted with a “4EVER” patch on his racing suit, according to a photo from Patmal_8 on Reddit.

The pic is somewhat blurry, but it does say “4EVER.”
Obviously, nothing is official until it’s actually announced, and Harvick could just as easily decide to continue his racing career, but this is the strongest indication yet that this will be his final season. In 2022, Harvick had two wins but was knocked out of the NASCAR Playoffs in the Round of 16.
