Ross Chastain Kyle Busch

Ross Chastain’s racing style earned him a lot of haters on the track. It appears Kyle Busch joined that growing list.

Midway through the NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas, Busch, and Chastain got a bit physical down the backstretch. It looked harmless on the surface, but Busch went off on Chastain on his team radio afterward.

Busch said, “He’s pissed because I’m pissed that he races like a ******* *******, and so I doored him twice like down the backstretch…that’s your warning, boy.”

Chastain’s reputation is going to get him heat for everything he does, but he didn’t really do much in this instance. Chastain had a run, came down on Busch, and made contact, but he wasn’t trying to wreck Busch.

Although, it should be noted that it didn’t make much sense for Chastain to come down on Busch while he was ahead. The point of side drafting is to get close to the rear fender of your competitor. Chastain kind of side-drafted himself by coming down on Busch.

Nothing really happened among the two for the rest of this race. Busch spun with a couple of laps to go at the end of Stage 2, and his race was done.
