When you play competitive sports, it can be difficult to keep those competitive juices flowing in retirement. For Tom Brady, he’s eventually going to join Fox Sports as an NFL analyst, but that’s not the same as winning on the football field.
On Wednesday, Brady revealed he is backing a sports car team that is racing in the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans.

According to Racer, Brady’s technical apparel brand BRADY will sponsor a Porsche 963 for Hertz Team Jota. Hertz and Singer Group also sponsor the car. The #38 Porsche will compete in the Hypercar class, the top class in the race. That means Brady’s car will compete for the overall win at the centennial Le Mans race. The drivers selected to drive the car include Portuguese driver António Félix da Costa, British driver Will Stevens, and Chinese driver Ye Yifei.
Hertz Team Jota will move up to the Hypercar class next month when the World Endurance Championship returns to Europe. Last year, Team Jota was very successful in the LMP2 class, as Félix da Costa and Stevens won the LMP2 championship, as well as the class victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, finishing fifth overall. Jota still plans to enter a car in the LMP2 class, but it won’t have Hertz or Brady support.
The 24 Hours of Le Mans will take place June 10-11.
