Cha'iel Johnson set a U.S. record.

Once upon a time, Chad Johnson wowed football fans as one of the fastest wide receivers in the NFL. It’s becoming clear Ochocinco has passed those genes down to his 12-year-old daughter, Cha’iel.

Competing at the AAU Track and Field Club Championships at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports in Florida Wednesday, Cha’iel broke the United States record in the 800 meters for her 12-year-old age group. She completed the race in 2:14:80, according to TMZ Sports.

Here’s video of the race, courtesy of a certain proud papa:

That’s nearly five seconds faster than her gold-winning performance at last year’s AAU Junior Olympics.

Chad used to soak his ankles in urine to keep his ankles healthy. I have no idea he’s passed down that technique to keep his daughter in shape, but clearly it worked for him as he ran a 4.57 40-yard dash, rarely missed a game, and finished his NFL career with 766 catches for 11,059 yards and 67 touchdowns.
