It’s that time of the year where soccer teams around Europe suffer the dreaded kit leak. Because of dealing with so many people from different parts of the retail and sports industry and that these kits must be designed at least a year or two in advance, it’s very rare to have a kit kept under wraps until launch day.

This time, it’s Liverpool who may have suffered the dreaded kit leak. Details about Liverpool’s 125th anniversary kit had trickled out and there have been some fan designs that followed those details. But this is the first time the actual kit has been leaked, thanks to Footy Headlines.

The kit is a rather clean design that harkens back to the 70’s glory days for Liverpool. For a team that places an importance on history and is celebrating its 125th anniversary, it’s not surprising to see them go back to a time where they were at their most successful.

In addition, there will be a special crest commemorating Liverpool’s 125 years with “1892” on one side of the bird, “2017” on the other side and “125 years” on the bottom. It’s a very clean and iconic design that will do doubt look nice on the field next season.

The kit itself is reported to likely be revealed officially sometime this week while the away and third kits will be revealed later. It’s reported that the away will be green and white while the third kit will be primarily orange.
