Philadelphia Union dog

No matter the scenario, everyone loves it when a dog runs out on the field to interrupt a sporting event. People, not so much. But we can all appreciate a doggie having some fun.

This time, a dog ran out on the field in El Salvador as MLS side Philadelphia Union faced Alianza FC in the Concacaf Champions League. In the second half of first leg of their round of 16 match, the dog ran straight for the ball and treated it like a chew toy.

The dog had some fun, but when it was time to leave, a staffer picked up the dog and took him off the field. Play continued, as the first leg ended 0-0, but nothing matched when the dog ran on the field.

Many reacted to the great moment, with some preferring the dog to keep playing.

You can’t deny that the doggie was having loads of fun out there. It’s not a Concacaf Champions League game if a dog isn’t running around the field of a Central American stadium. Thankfully we got that.

Leg two between Alianza and Philadelphia will be played in Philly next Wednesday. Hopefully, there will be a dog having some fun during the game.
