Two Premier League clubs will be locking horns together in the Champions League final following Liverpool and Tottenham’s outstanding comebacks in the semi-final this week.

The two English clubs will be facing each other in Spanish Stadium Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid on the 1st of June which also means an English club will be lifting the European Cup. You don’t have to be an expert in football tips to understand that obviously.

The Reds and Spurs both seems to have a secure a Premier League top four spot, but will not really matter regarding the spots available to England teams in the European competition next campaign. There is also the possibility that Tottenham could end their season in a fifth position, but that will mean Arsenal had scored eight goals in their last match in the Premier League with that most likely not to happen.

This is FOOTBALL, the impossible have been happening of late, but should the Gunners be able to bag eight goals, the Spurs will very much need to defeat Liverpool in Madrid on June in order to secure a spot in the UEFA Champions League group stage otherwise will be competing in the Europa League next season.

And if that never happened and Spurs finished in the League in the fourth position with Liverpool, the “extra” spot for the group stage will be going to Austrian top flight, Uefa’s 11th-top ranked League, who will be having a seat in the group stage having no need to play the qualifying rounds.

But should Arsenal lift the Europa League trophy that would mean five England clubs will be competing in the Champions League next campaign.

London rivals Chelsea, who have already secured a top four finish in the table, are still competing in the Europa League alongside Arsenal.

There are never a Champions League group stage spot to the losing party of the Europa League finalist, which will be leaving Arsenal with no other choice than to win the competition in Baku and that’s the only way for five English clubs to compete next season.

But if the two European competitions was lift by Premier League teams that didn’t get into the top four – not possible anymore – the club sitting on the fourth position in the League will be missing a Champions League next season.

One more thing is, Should Watford in any way defeat Manchester City in the FA Cup final then they will be qualifying for the Europa League but should City win only then will Wolverhampton Wanderers enter the qualifying rounds of the competition should they finish seventh in the Premier League.
