Nobody could figure out why Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos disappeared from the second half of Saturday’s game against Eibar, forcing Real Madrid to play 10-on-11.

Ramos certainly seemed to be moving fine as he ran off the field and into the tunnel.

Well, after the game, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane explained what caused Ramos to leave the game (via Yahoo! Sports):

Manager Zinedine Zidane outed his center back after the match with an explanation as unusual as it was hilarious.

“Ramos s— himself a bit,” Zidane said.

“So he went to the bathroom for a moment,” Zidane continued, as if it were no big deal.

So there you have it: Ramos pooped his pants.

And he had a good sense of humor about it on Instagram:

“Nature calls ?. Out and back in. Reload. Team goal. Back home. Let’s keep it up.”

Real Madrid still ended up being just fine in the game, because they have Cristiano Ronaldo.
