Actor Ryan Reynolds, as some may know is part owner of Wrexham FC soccer team. Reynolds purchased the team with “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” star Rob McElhenney for $2.5 million in 2020.
As many may also know that Reynolds is a bit of a jokester and prankster and he loves to make fun of his famous friends like Hugh Jackman and he apparently likes to take a few jabs at his Wrexham players too.
Reynolds joked that he had to come up with a new rule for star striker Ollie Palmer when it comes to meeting his wife of 10 years, actress Blake Lively.
Apparently, Palmer has met Lively a few times with his shirt off, which Reynolds kind of noticed.
Reynolds said this about Palmer going shirtless around his wife on a recent podcast, which the New York Post transcribed.
“Every time we’ve come as a family and stuff, we’ll walk down to the locker room,” He said via the Post. “And Ollie’s the first guy that walks out of that dressing room completely shirtless to have a conversation with my wife,” the 46-year-old Reynolds said with a smile.
“I’m always like, ‘Ollie, put a ******* shirt on and come back out like a gentleman.’”
Reynolds of course was kidding and said later in the conversation that Palmer was “one of the best guys we know.”
But if you have ever seen Palmer without his shirt, you may understand why Reynolds might be just a tiny bit jealous.
The team just won the National League Title and they were promoted to English Football’s League Two. Not a bad year.
