During a match in the Brazilian third division, one player completely lost it after a red card, shoving the referee to the ground.

It happened this weekend during a match between Guarani and Boa Esporte that was the second leg of the Serie C final. Boa Esporte won the game 3-0 but what soccer fans around the world will see is Guarani’s Antonio Ferreira losing his mind.

In the second half, Ferreira received a red card after it looked like a high elbow made contact with an opposing player’s face. Replays showed that it was a cynical flop and Ferreira didn’t even make contact. However, that didn’t justify what happened next.

That’s the closest I’ve seen an athlete get to “Ron Artest Malice in the Palace crazy” in some time. Not only did Ferreira push the ref, he tried to take wild swings at teammates trying to control him and finally got escorted off the field. When you see policemen in riot gear try to surround the referee to protect him, it’s a scary situation.

Let this be a lesson kids, don’t flop, not only is it cheating, it may start a riot.
