Obviously, we would never condone running away from the cops. However, this soccer player made one amazing getaway from the cops during a game Thursday.

Enner Valencia — who usually is a striker for Everton but was playing for Ecuador on Thursday — choreographed a plan so he would be substituted out of Ecuador’s win on Thursday, and leave the stadium before police would have a chance to arrest him.

The situation apparently revolves around unpaid child maintenance bills. Police confronted Valencia as he entered the stadium. Thus came the plan to get out of the stadium before he could get arrested.

To do that, Valencia faked the injury so he would be escorted out of the stadium. But as he’s being escorted out, police end up following Valencia while he is riding on the golf cart.

This is a crazy situation that seems like it could only happen in international soccer. Crazily enough, Valencia scored Ecuador’s first goal and helped the team defeat Chile before avoiding the cops.

Like I said earlier, it’s not a good idea to run away from the cops. But if you do, score a goal for your country first.
