A simple fault during a U.S. Open tennis match turned dangerous for one line judge.

During a third round match Sunday, Grigor Dimitrov fired a serve toward Joao Sousa. The serve was a fault, but it still caused quite an impact. The ball went past Sousa and hit the poor line judge directly in the groin.

First of all, ouch. I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy. Even Draymond Green couldn’t put that much on an attack to the groin.

At first, the two players sort of go on with their day. But as soon as that ball makes contact with the judge, both players seem to have some concern (for good reason).

Props to the line judge for being resilient, however. He gutted out the rest of the match. Hopefully that poor judge gets something out of this besides a viral video on the Internet.
