Famous podcaster Joe Rogan has confirmed a shocking response to any would-be terrorist attack at the White House’s UFC Freedom 250 event. Roughly 4,000 people were in attendance on the White House’s South Lawn to watch a UFC card that included seven fights in celebration of the United States’ 250th birthday.
Rogan, who commentated the event, recounted the event as an “amazing night on on Saturday’s episode of The Joe Rogan Experience. Rogan also shared an interesting response from United States President Donald Trump to a potential terrorist attack occurring at the event.
“I said to Trump, ‘I hope we don’t die in a terrorist attack.’ He goes, ‘We gotta go somehow,’” Rogan said. “I go, ‘What the f***, dude?’”
Frighteningly, after the event, the Department of Justice announced the arrest of five men who had plotted to attack during the event and kill government officials with explosive-laden drones and snipers.
Rogan has voiced safety concerns in the weeks leading up to the event.
“That seems like a good safe place to be, huh?” he said sarcastically in an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience.
“Everyone’s going to know where all the world leaders are going to be. We’re all going to be stuck sitting in that spot for six hours calling fights. Super safe. I feel completely safe.”
Still, with the attacks thwarted, Rogan went on to commend the experience.
“That was the wildest experience that I’ve ever had in my 20-whatever years of calling combat sports. There’s nothing even close,” he said on Wednesday’s episode of his podcast.
