The first time the Green Bay Packers traded a disgruntled quarterback away to the New York Jets, there was a lot of controversy among the QBs past and present. It doesn’t seem like that’s the case this time, though. Jordan Love, the prohibitive next quarterback for the Packers, spoke to the media on Wednesday. Love dished on several topics, including his relationship with former Packer quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Last month, Green Bay traded the multi-time NFL MVP and Super Bowl Champion to the Jets. It concluded a lengthy process with Rodgers linked to the Jets for months. But on Wednesday, Love cleared the air about how things are. He said the two have been in contact and, according to the Packer QB, “He’s always there for me if I need anything. I’m always just grateful to be around him.”
Jordan Love says he has been in contact with Rodgers since the trade.

So it doesn’t sound like things are as tumultuous as they were when Rodgers, Brett Favre, and the Packers were at odds in the late 2000s.
The NFL world chimed in on the newfound information on Rodgers and Love’s current state.
Gotta respect Rodgers. I'll miss him but I'm excited for the Love era https://t.co/D3jToArBdv

I have said this from the jump. The way Brett Favre was treating Aaron Rodgers , Aaron didn’t treat Jordan Love that way https://t.co/8e9dUVwSkO

It's pretty obvious that Love being drafted is what drove the wedge between Rodgers and the Packers but it's nice see that Rodgers at least isn't taking it as far as Favre did. https://t.co/kK331XrqD6

Some took the time to dismiss the idea that Rodgers is a bad teammate.
Terrible teammate. https://t.co/zHZKFm6N9b

Rodgers is a fascinating figure in Green Bay. He made a whole deal about leaving, and, for many, he most likely wore out his welcome. But many of the concerns raised during his time in Wisconsin were felt by many Packer fans. When Favre had his exit or, in his case, exit attempts, they were often painstakingly long, filled with endless drama, and, as we remember, Ed Werder appeared on front lawns. Werder didn’t make the trek to Rodgers’ darkness retreat, which probably saves him at least a little grace with Packer fans, who were more than happy to praise their former QB on Wednesday.
