This is our weekly look at the most popular — or in some cases our personal favorite — videos on Clippit over the past week. Clippit is an awesome app that allows us to quickly grab 30-second clips from several live TV broadcasts and share them on social media. 

Mississippi State stunningly snaps UConn’s 111-game winning streak

It took 865 days (!), but the UConn Huskies women’s basketball team finally lost, and it happened to come in the Final Four to end their season. The Mississippi Bulldogs pulled off the shocking upset as 21-point underdogs. UConn beat this same team by 60 points in last year’s tournament!

But Mississippi State came away with a 66-64 overtime victory this time around, and junior point guard Morgan William served as the hero with this buzzer-beating shot:

North Carolina takes down Gonzaga to win the men’s national championship

We expected to see a fantastic national championship game between two No. 1 seeds in North Carolina and Gonzaga, and the game certainly lived up to the hype. In the end, the Tar Heels got their redemption as champions after losing in the title game to Villanova a season ago:



MadBum crushes two dingers on Opening Day

Not just did San Francisco Giants ace Madison Bumgarner hit two homers on Opening Day, but they were absolutely crushed. Pitchers aren’t supposed to be able to do this:
