Caitlin Clark receives as much praise as anyone in any sport for her litany of skills on the hardwood. But perhaps one area of her game that hasn’t received nearly enough recognition is her durability, which ironically was highlighted in a game she didn’t play in on Wednesday night against the Washington Mystics.
Clark was dealt some unfortunate news last week when it was revealed that she had suffered a quad injury that would cause her to miss action for the first time in his WNBA career.
However, it turns out that her ability to stay on the court, with the exception of her recent injury, dates back far further than just her first season in the WNBA.
During Wednesday’s game, a graphic was displayed on the broadcast that showed that Clark had actually never missed a game at the collegiate level either, which means that this is the first game since her high school playing days that she has missed due to injury.

Naturally, some fans who just learned this news were quite shocked to hear how long her streak of consecutive games played dated back to.
Sport needs her, get well soon Clark 🙏🏿 https://t.co/28CIcEK8Ez

Hopefully, Clark’s quad injury won’t hold her out for too long, as it was quite evident in Wednesday’s game that the Fever desperately need her back as soon as possible, falling to the Mystics in an 83-77 loss.
