The Indiana Fever are doing their best to stay above water while Caitlin Clark deals with a quad strain that has already caused her to miss multiple games. It’s the first time Clark has missed game action since high school due to injury.
There was optimism around the Fever that Clark would be able to return for Tuesday evening’s game against the Indiana Fever, and now there has been official reporting on the situation.
“Caitlin Clark has been ruled out for tomorrow’s tilt against the Atlanta Dream, the 5th consecutive game she’s missed with a quad strain. But Fever coach Stephanie White told reporters today that Clark is ‘ready to start ramping back up’ and participated in some of practice today,” reported ESPN’s Alexa Philippou on Twitter.
Fans reacted to the news on social.
“I told ya she wouldn’t be back by this game. I bet she misses the next game too,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Good to see Stephanie is back with the team,” one fan added, referencing a personal issue that caused White to miss the Fever’s last game.
“This isn’t a surprise,” someone else added.
It’ll be interesting to see when Clark is able to suit up again.
