The Dallas Wings have the last two number one overall picks in the WNBA draft on their roster in Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd. Interestingly, Bueckers and Fudd announced that they were involved in a romantic relationship on TikTok last year.
However, it’s not something that Bueckers plans on discussing throughout the season.
“Quite frankly, I believe me and Azzi’s personal relationship is nobody’s business but our own. And what we choose to share is completely up to us,” Bueckers said during Dallas’ media day. “We’ve never let anything that happens off the court carry onto the court, and that’s what we’ll continue to do.”
Unfortunately for Bueckers, her talented teammate may not be available for Tuesday night’s game against the Atlanta Dream after popping up on the WNBA’s injury report on Monday night.
Fans reacted to the brutal news on social media.
“Just let her sit out tomorrow…yall wasn’t gonna give her play time anyways. Who gaf at this point,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“As much as we love our princess please yall can rest her there really is no need to play her Wings. She can rest,” someone else added.
“Don’t play azzi. Rest her the entire game please,” one fan pleaded.
It’ll be interesting to see how much chemistry Bueckers and Fudd miss out on if Fudd can’t go on Tuesday.
