The Indiana Fever are hoping to shock the world and upset the Las Vegas Aces in the WNBA semifinals, where the Phoenix Mercury are waiting, after defeating the Minesota Lynx. The Lynx gave their exit interviews on Tuesday, and star forward Napheesa Collier revealed something shocking that WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert told her about star point guard Caitlin Clark.
“Caitlin should be grateful she makes $16 million off the court because without the platform that the WNBA gives her she wouldn’t make anything,…players should be on their knees thanking…for the media rights deal I got them,” Engelbert said, according to Collier.

Fans reacted to the shocking exit interview on social media.
“Caitlin had Nike, Gatorade and State Farm contracts before she entered the WNBA. What a liar,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“The arrogance of that woman. Never hears Stern saying Magic/Bird/MJ should be thankful to the league for endorsements and therefore dont deserve decent salaries. Lmao,” someone else added.
“Cathy needs to publicly respond to this. Clark and others had major NIL endorsements coming in and there are new players coming in with NIL. This, if true, is an absolute trash position from her. Flaijae , Juju and many others will take note,” another fan added.
“Caitlin don’t gotta be grateful for anything, she didn’t need the WNBA and already had all her sponsorships before even joining this unprofessional league,” one fan added.
IT’ll be interesting to see if Engelbert responds to the damning allegations.
