Caitlin Clark is one of the biggest athletes on the planet at the moment. Clark’s first season in the WNBA saw her completely live up to the hype that made her the number one overall pick in the WNBA draft.
Clark broke the WNBA single-season record for assists, became the first rookie to ever record a triple-double, and was named to the WNBA first-team, all en route to winning the KIA Rookie of the Year award.
Now, all of Clark’s hard work is being rewarded. On Wednesday, Nike unveiled a player-edition basketball sneaker for Caitlin Clark.

Fans reacted to the shoes on social media.
“I need these. Hope they don’t sellout before I can get a pair,” one fan wrote on social media.
“Nike is playing a dangerous game if they release this in the same window as A’one. The discourse here is going to be crazy,” one fan added, referencing the upcoming sneaker release for Las Vegas Aces star A’Ja Wilson.
“Please release these on the same date as those ugly [expletive] Aja shoes. The sales differential would be so fun to follow,” another fan added.
“I’ll be honest. Idt Caitlin wants her own shoe. I truly think she wants to continue hooping in Kobe’s lol,” someone else added.
It’ll be interesting to see what other Clark merchandise gets released as Nike looks to take advantage of one of the sport’s biggest stars.
