The WNBA is emerging quickly as one of the most popular sports in the country, thanks in no small part to the arrivals of Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky star Angel Reese in the 2024 draft.
Since their arrival, the league has experienced record numbers in attendance, television viewership, and is adding new franchises at a rapid pace. However, some people are determined to tear down women’s sports for no other reason than that the competitors are women instead of men.
One fan went so far as to believe he could defeat any WNBA player in a game of one-on-one. He got his chance to test his theory out against Los Angeles Sparks guard Sarah Ashlee Barker.
The contest is now going viral on social media.

Of course, Ashlee Barker dominated the game, winning 11-2. After dismantling the fan, Ashlee-Barker made the fan give his respects to the rest of the players in the league.
Fans reacted to the game on social media.
“She’s in the top .1% of all basketball players in the world. Just making it Pro is an unbelievable accomplishment. Any guy off the street thinking they could beat any WNBA player is just delusional,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“BBQ chicken…just imagine what KP would do to him,” someone else added.
“This is how most of the WNBA haters would look against WNBA players,” another fan added.
Hopefully, men will start to give these women the respect they deserve.
