Tom Brady is in the news again.

The legendary seven-time Super Bowl Champion quarterback has taken up a new venture – being part of an ownership group for a professional sports team. Brady has claimed an ownership interest in the Las Vegas Aces of the WNBA.

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported the news on Thursday evening.

“Las Vegas Aces and Raiders’ owner Mark Davis announced today that seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady has acquired an ownership interest in the world-champion WNBA Las Vegas Aces’ franchise,” Schefter tweeted.

Brady issued a statement on his choice to invest in the Aces franchise. The statement was tweeted by reporter CBS Las Vegas affiliate 9 News Now reporter, Logan Reeves.

“My love for women’s sports began at a young age when I would tag along to all my older sister’s games–They were by far the best athletes in our house! We celebrated their accomplishments together as a family, and they remain a great inspiration to me,” Brady said.

The Aces are the reigning WNBA Champions. Led by WNBA All-Star Kelsey Plum, the Aces have become one of the best franchises in the league. Mark Davis acquired the WNBA franchise in January 2021 from MGM International.

Brady is not the first nor will he be the last athlete to venture into the world of owning a stake or interest in a pro sports team. But he is most certainly the latest to now do it.

The sports world reacted to the huge Tom Brady news.

That included none other than the Aces star in Plum.

“WHAT ISSSSSS LIFFEEEEEEE,” Plum tweeted.

“Kelsey Plum can bark at Tom Brady more often now,” WNBA Storm Chasers said.

“But middle-aged white guys in their truck keep telling me that no one cares about women’s sports, and I just don’t know who to believe anymore,” Chris Spooner said.

“Does that make @TomBrady… Tom Ace?” Matt Camp of WWE asked.
