Hulk Hogan WrestleMania

Hulk Hogan wants one more match at WrestleMania 40, and the former wrestling champion knows exactly who he’d want it to be against.

Appearing on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani this week, the Hulkster said “he’s considering celebrating the 40th anniversary of his WWE Championship win over the Iron Sheik by getting in the ring,” wrote Wrestling Inc.

He said to Helwani that he wanted to wrestle none other than WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin. “He says the main reason he came back to wrestle The Rock in 2002 was so that he could somehow end up in a ring with Austin,” Wrestling Inc. wrote.

“I just don’t know, with all this time passing and both of us getting older and wiser, that it would even make sense. You’d have to be crazy at my age anyway,” he admitted. “I just haven’t talked to him about anything like that ever, but if he would get in the ring, he would be the guy.”

Hulk Hogan left the door open for one final match by saying, “Anything’s possible,” with regard to him wrestling once again at WrestleMania. The odds are significantly against him, though, as he hasn’t been in a wrestling ring to wrestle since 2011 and hasn’t worked a WWE match since 2006. Chances are, it probably won’t happen, but the wrestling business has always said, “Never say never.”
