To say that professional wrestling is bizarre is like saying grass is green. But even with that understood, something on Tuesday took bizarre to a new level.

Those who turned into Judge Steve Harvey on Tuesday saw Jim Morrison — more commonly known as J.J. Dillon — suing Kevin Sullivan for $7,500.

Where do we even begin?

Dillon vs. Sullivan feels like something that should have played itself out in a Four Horsemen vs. Dungeon of Doom WarGames battle sometime in the 1990s — or even the 80s. Instead, we’re getting it on Judge Steve Harvey in 2022.

Indeed, if that isn’t the most “this is life in 2022” picture we’ve ever seen, what is?

But we’re not done. We’re barely getting started.

Stage names are common in wrestling. In some cases (The Rock, Andre the Giant, the Ultimate Warrior, Edge, etc.) it’s obvious.

But certainly, Randy Poffo is a lot less intimidating than Randy Savage. And who wants to cheer for Terry Bollea instead of Hulk Hogan? Of course, why would anyone want to be Michael Hickenbottom when Shawn Michaels rolls off of the tongue so much easier.

Even with a relatively common-sounding name like J.J. Dillon, it’s not surprising to see that he has another “real name.” But did anyone know that his real name was, of all things, Jim Morrison?

The Four Horsemen really missed an opportunity to have a finishing move called “Riders on the Storm” or “Break on Through to the Other Side.” It would have been one heck of an inside joke, if nothing else.

In a sign of just how weird all of this is, the fact that Dillon and Sullivan were pleading their respective cases to “Judge Steve Harvey” isn’t close to the weirdest part.

But it is plenty weird.

At least one wrestler, former WWE Hall of Famer, The Iron Sheik, is a fan.

And really, who is anyone to argue with Sheiky Baby?

Finally, there’s one important question. Who won? Or, in pro wrestling terms, who went over?

The honorable Mr. Harvey ruled in favor of the plantiff, Mr. Morrison. However, the debt was covered by Harvey.

So, let’s call it a double-disqualification finish.
