Lonzo, LaMelo and LaVar Ball (L to R) all showed up in a WWE ring.

LaVar Ball’s appearance on WWE Raw Monday had plenty of odd moments, including him going shirtless and threatening The Miz and his son Lonzo (the Lakers’ recent selection second overall in the NBA Draft) being introduced to the crowd at the Staples Center, but it was younger son LaMelo who really created something unexpected. While LaVar was bouncing off the ropes and going at The Miz, LaMelo (holding a live mic) said something you probably shouldn’t say on television:

WWE later bleeped that for the West Coast broadcast:

As per Houston Mitchell of The Los Angeles Times, WWE also sent out a statement about it:

WWE responded to what happened with the following: “The inappropriate language used by a guest during the ‘Miz TV’ segment was not scripted nor reflects WWE’s values.”

This isn’t a huge deal, but it’s something you probably don’t want to be dropping on television. And it’s yet more controversy for the Ball family.
