For the third time, the XFL is making its debut but it’s going to have Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as a co-owner this time. The football league is coming back in 2023 and while some things haven’t been announced yet, the XFL have made one big announcement before play begins.

Johnson, along with co-owner Dany Garcia announced the eight head coaches. The list includes Bob Stoops, who was coaching the Dallas Renegades when the XFL temporarily shut down after an abbreviated 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Other head coaches include Reggie Barlow, Anthony Becht, Terrell Buckley, Jim Haslett, Wade Phillips, Hines Ward, and Rod Woodson. While it’s not yet announced where these people will be coaching and who they will be coaching, it’s a group of coaches with a wide range of playing and coaching experience.

XFL fans and those in the general football world reacted to the XFL’s announcement, including some of the coaches themselves.
