We’ve all tried it at least once: going to sporting events and trying to act as goofy and silly as possible in order to end up on the jumbotron.

In the past, there was no way to immortalize these special moments in time when a normal person get their three seconds of (very localized) fame. However, thanks to the advent of the selfie, anything is possible!

This Indians fan took a selfie of him appearing on the jumbotron at Progressive Field (We did our best not to call it The Jake as a force of habit) and has now gone viral because of it. But he’s also created something interesting: Selfie-ception.

When you hold up a mirror to another mirror, you see a tunnel effect that makes the reflections go on for what seems like forever. Does this happen when you look into your phone screen on another screen that your phone is on taking a picture of yourself? Did that make any sort of sense?

That’s why it’s a “selfie-ception”. Well done, Indians fan.
