draymond green

Draymond Green is maybe the NBA’s most enthusiastic talker, on the court and to the media, but the Warriors forward showed Tuesday that he has some Marshawn Lynch in him as well.

Asked about the NBA’s decision not to suspend him for Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals, Green responded “That is a great question,” “That is a great question” and “That is a great statement” (even though it was another question).

At least Green was polite! It’s not often athletes compliment reporters on their questions.

After ignoring the three questions about his lack of suspension, Green returned to his usual gregarious self when asked whether he was excited for Game 4, showing that he has not developed a Lynchian (or Westrbookian) disdain for the media.

Green, of course, intentionally/unintentionally kicked Thunder center Steven Adams in the family jewels toward the end of Game 3, prompting many observers to assume he would be suspended for the following game.

Suspension or no suspension, no one could have imagined this incident would offer a long-elusive trick to getting Draymond Green to stop talking, but here we are.
