The Memphis Grizzlies’ best-of seven series against the San Antonio Spurs returned to Tennessee last night. The Grizzlies ended up with another predictable loss, but played their most competitive game yet, falling 96-87. Memphis fans have it tough knowing they’re unlikely to beat the Spurs in a single game, but at least last night, Memphis mascot Grizz provided a preview of what a W would be like in mascot form.
Like a WWE wrestler, Grizz climbed a ladder in the upper bowls of the FedEx Forum and jumped off it, smashing a fake Spurs mascot through a table.

That’s an impressive stunt. Fortunately, unlike Harry the Hawk, he wasn’t hurt following his jump.

So, the Grizzlies might have suffered a loss, putting the team in a 3-0 hole, but at least fans can take solace knowing they’re getting top-notch in-game entertainment from Grizz.
