The Western Michigan Broncos went 7-5 this season, and are going to a bowl game for a second year in a row, something that had never been done in school history.

So, the Broncos knew that they were going to a bowl, but didn’t know if it would be the Poinsettia Bowl, the Boca Raton Bowl, or the Bahamas Bowl. San Diego and Boca Raton would be nice getaways from Michigan in the winter, but obviously the Bahamas are the dream destination this time of the year. And when the Broncos players learned this week that it would be the Bahamas Bowl, they understandably went crazy:

Everything about that video is great. That includes the video within the video, building up the suspense of the bowl location in awesome fashion.

But the players’ reaction is terrific, and for good reason. The Bahamas, that Atlantis hotel we are always teased about on television, and probably all the Popeye’s chicken they want. Oh, and the actual football game, which will take place against Middle Tennessee State on Christmas Eve.

You can also see in that video why 35-year-old Broncos head coach P.J. Fleck is so highly thought of. According to Football Scoop, Western Michigan is working on a new contract with Fleck, with the contract rumored to be “unlike anything the MAC has ever seen”.
